Spiritual Circuit: Explore Lucknow & Naimisharanya from Varanasi
Lucknow is a well-known city throughout India. It is also referred to as “Nawabon ka Shahar” (City of Nawabs).
It holds a wealth of historical sites and offers many fascinating places to visit at once. According to ancient history, modern-day Lucknow was originally named Lakhanapuri in honor of Lakshmana, the devoted brother of Maryada Purushottam Lord Ram.
Over time, this evolved into Lakhnow, and eventually, its current name—Lucknow.
Even today, one can find Lakshman Tila, a mound in Lucknow that remains beloved. Naimisharanya is another Tirtha (pilgrimage site) located approximately 80 km from Lucknow.
It is considered one of the holiest sites, mentioned in the Puranas and the Ramayana.
