Spiritual Significance of Bodh Gaya, Rajgir & Baidyanath Dham

Bodh Gaya is the most significant destination for pilgrims. It is the place which is important for both Hindus and Buddhists. Hinduism has its own ritual concepts for their Lord Vishnu. There is the Vishnupad Temple, which is believed to house the footprints of Lord Vishnu and is a key location for Pind Daan. Gaya is a highly revered place for performing Pind Daan.
Legend says Lord Rama performed Pind Daan for his father, King Dasharath, in Gaya, making it an important site for this ritual. Bodh Gaya is a significant Buddhist pilgrimage site because it’s the place where Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment and became the Buddha.
Rajgir is famous for its rich history and deep-rooted religious significance. The epic Mahabharata mentions Rajgir as the kingdom of Jarasandha and recounts his battles with the Pandavas and another important place is Lord Shiva Nagri, Shri Baidyanath Dham Jyotirling. It’s among the 12 Dwadash Jyotirlingas. This is also known as Ravaneswar Jyotirling, because it was established by King Ravan (Dashanan Ravan) – the King of Lanka.
Baidyanath Dham and Jyotirling is famous for its name “Kamna Ling”. The devotees who wish and worship this ling, their wishes are fulfilled.
